The Bad Guys: A Very Bad Holiday is an upcoming 2023 half-hour Christmas-themed CG animated streaming television special based on the 2022 film The Bad Guys, which in turn is based on the graphic novel series of the same name. The special also serves as a prequel to the original film.

Directed by Bret Haaland, the special is scheduled to premiere on November 30, 2023, on Netflix.[1]
Premise
When Christmas is canceled due to a major accident caused by the Bad Guys involving a giant Santa Claus parade balloon, the Bad Guys would have to abandon their citywide holiday heist and rekindle the holiday spirit by giving instead of taking.[2]

Production
The holiday-themed special was announced in November 2022,[3] with Bret Haaland as director and an executive producer alongside Katherine Nolfi.[4] In October 2023, TVLine revealed that none of the original film cast would be reprising their respective roles and instead star Godere, Ajeigbe, Ceballos, Diamantopoulos and Low, respectively.[1] Original creator and author, Aaron Blabey, will serve as scriptwriter for the special.[5]
