Tom Nowatzke

Thomas Matthew Nowatzke (born September 30, 1942) is a former National Football League (NFL) running back of Polish descent from 1965 through 1972.[1] He played college football at Indiana University where he made the All-American team despite playing on a 2-7 Hoosiers team. [2] The Lions selected him in the first round, 11th overall, in the 1965 NFL Draft. He scored a touchdown for the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl V.[3] He was inducted into the National Polish-American Sports Hall of Fame in 2008. He now runs a truck and trailer repair shop in Whitmore Lake, Michigan.[4] He is the uncle of former BYU wide receiver Tim Nowatzke. [5]
