Vartun (Persian: ورطون, also Romanized as Varţūn and Vartūn; also known as Varţān, Vartan, and Varūn)[3] is a village in Sistan Rural District of Sistan District, Kuhpayeh County, Isfahan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 477 in 123 households, when it was in the former Kuhpayeh District of Isfahan County.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 479 people in 153 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 576 people in 187 households. It was the largest village in its rural district.[2]

The district was separated from Isfahan County in July 2021, elevated to the status of Kuhpayeh County, and divided into Sistan and Tudeshk Districts, each with two rural districts. The city of Kuhpayeh was designated as the county's capital.[6]
