Weel

Weel is a hamlet and former civil parish, now in the parish of Tickton, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) east of the town of Beverley and 1.5 miles (2.4 km) south of the village of Tickton. It lies on the east bank of the River Hull. In 1931 the parish had a population of 114.[1]

Governance

Weel was formerly a township in the parish of Beverley-St. John,[3] in 1866 Weel became a civil parish, on 1 April 1935 the parish was abolished and merged with Tickton.[4]
