Edsel co-produced all of Dope's albums. On Felons and Revolutionaries, Dope's first album released in 1999, Edsel played and programmed most of the musical instruments.[3]
In 2019, a masked lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist joined Static-X under the moniker Xer0,[4][5] which led to speculation and rumors that it was Edsel Dope. Edsel initially denied being Xer0,[6] but later admitted to his role, saying that he and the band felt Xer0 should be a separate entity from Dope.[7]
