The album was nominated foer the Grammy Awards for Best Latin Pop Performance; it was nominated along with José Feliciano, Pandora, Danny Rivera and José José, but lost to "Le Lo Lai" by Feliciano.[1] Yo Te Pido Amor sold 600,000 units..
