Zafaran-e Olya

Zafaran-e Olya (Persian: زعفران عليا, also Romanized as Za‘farān-e ‘Olyā; also known as Za‘farān)[1] is a village in Mansuri Rural District, Homeyl District, Eslamabad-e Gharb County, Kermanshah Province, Iran. The population was 634 in 147 families as of the 2006 Census.[2]

It is a village in Homeyl district of Islamabad-e Gharb county in Kermanshah province. It is the largest village of Mansouri district with a mild Mediterranean climate. It is a beautiful village that is connected to the east by the village of Khomartaj, to the west by the villages of Cheshme Sangi and Sarbe Kouh, and to the south by the villages of Zafaran-e Sofli and Qolaji. And it is bordered with Garavand from the north. The language of the people of the village is Kalhori Kurdish, and the native culture of this village is the pure culture of Kalhori, which is unique to the great clan of Kalhor. A village is made up of different clans and families who have been living together peacefully for years. A village with a significant educated population, the majority of its residents have moved to other cities for various reasons, including the economic poverty of the region and the lack of suitable educational spaces. such as Islamabad, Kermanshah, Tehran, Ilam, Shabab, Sarablah and other cities and even foreign countries have migrated.
