Zargar (Persian: زرگر), formerly Zargarmahalleh (Persian: زرگرمحله, also Romanized as Zargarmaḩalleh and Zargar Maḩalleh),[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Lalehabad District of Babol County, Mazandaran province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 census, its population (as Zargarmahalleh) was 425 in 110 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 423 people in 127 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 3,991 people in 1,311 households.[2] After the census, the name of the city was changed to Zargar.[4]
