Name

Baryancistrus beggini Lujan, Arce & Armbruster, 2009

Etymology: Baryancistrus: from the Greek βαρύς (barys), meaning "heavy", and the generic name Ancistrus. beggini: named in honour of Chris Beggin for his financial support of this research, ethical ornamental fish business practices, and influence on the professional development of the first author.
