Note: Rare monotypic genus that has never been analysed for affinity to subfamilies or tribes. Indeed it may not even be rosaceous - see Hassler (2021) who place it in Saxifragaceae. It is kept in Rosaceae as per protologue, as WS tends to be conservative.
