  • Typus: G.S. Perrottet s.n. (1820; lectotypus: P 00462423(JSTOR)); designated by Ridsdale (1975: 545) fide Razafimandimbison (2002: 26).
  • Type locality: Madagascar.

Note:

This name had been once included in the synonymy of Breonia citrifolia (Poir.) Ridsdale, Blumea 22(3): 545 (1975) [= B. chinensis (Lam.) Capuron], but was reinstated by Razafimandimbison (2002: 26).
