Name
Bythaelurus hispidus (Alcock, 1891)
- Holotype (unique): ZSI F13120.
Type locality: Andaman Sea, 11°31'40"N, 92°46'40"E, Investigator station 115, depth 188-220 fathoms.
Etymology: hispidus (= bristly), referring to its skin being covered with minute stony tricuspid spines. (From: The ETYFish project)
