Camassia Lindl. (1832), nom. cons.

Type species: C. esculenta Lindl., nom. illeg.. This is recognised as a synonym of Camassia quamash (Pursh) Greene, Man. Bot. San Francisco: 313 (1894) via its basionym Phalangium quamash Pursh, Fl. Amer. Sept. 1: 226 (1813).
