    • W.T. Gerrard 1495 (lectotypus: 'CR' fide Ridsdale 1976: 183; K {K000394936(JSTOR) [without collector's name nor number, dated 28 May 1894], K000394934(JSTOR) [purchased March 1872, without type indication], K000394935(JSTOR) [received July 1865, without type indication]}).
      • Note: Tropicos regards Ridsdale as designator of the lectotype and indication 'CR'[Museo Nacional de Costa Rica] as an obvious typographical error, which makes it difficult to tell the actual deposit location.
    • W.G. Atherstone s.n. (syntypus: K000394933(JSTOR)).
  • Type locality: [South Africa.]
