Name

Cynometra palustris J.Léonard, Bull. Jard. Bot. État Bruxelles 22: 201 (1952).

Type: E. Jans 909bis (in flower, [9] May 1952; holotype: BR 0000008916778; 'type': K 000417906^(JSTOR); cf. YBI 110442093, without type indication).
Type locality: Congo Belge [The Decocratic Republic Of The Congo]. District forestier central: Bokoro sur Lukenie, forêt marécageuse[Bokoro over the Lukenie River, marshy forest].

Notes

According to Radosavljevic (2019), Cynometra palustris along with other mainland tropical African (but not all) species of the genus Cynometra should be excluded from the genus and will be transferred to a new as yet un-named genus in the future.
