Diagnosis: Similis D. confluentis, sed sporis minoribus 10-15 x 4.5-6 µm praecipue in saxis crescens differt.
Type: MEXICO. Sonora: 7 km NE of Huasabas above Rio Bavispe, 29o50' N, 109o13' W, T.H. Nash III, 14788 (Holotype ASU, designated here)
