Flexanthera Rusby, Mem. New York Bot. Gard. 7: 367. (1927)
- Type species: Flexanthera fragrans Rusby, Mem. New York Bot. Gard. 7: 368. (1927) synonymised with Simira fragrans (Rusby) Steyerm., Mem. New York Bot. Gard. 23: 308. (1972)
Note: This genus is placed in Condamineeae on historical grounds, however, it should be fully in synonymy with Simira, but Flexanthera subcordata has no equivalent according to WCSP and so this taxon page must remain. See Taylor et al. in Tropicos Rubiaceae (2020) for a better treatment, which unfortunately has not yet been formally published.
