Note: This is a taxonomic opinion based upon an as yet fully unresolved circumscription of Gochnatia (sensu Cabrera, 1971) and its recent segregates particularly Moquiniastrum and Pentaphorus, with all three now shown to be in a single clade (Panero, 2019). More work is underway as seen in the recent segregation of Tehuasca and Vickia and further changes are anticipated. WS can not take sides and so all genera are shown, although Pentaphorus redirects to Gochnatia as this is a widely accepted synonymy.
