Name
Hemigrammocapoeta culiciphaga Pellegrin, 1927
- Syntypes: BMNH 1927.5.7.7 (1); MNHN 1926-0396 (6); MSNM 27 [ex MSNM 4411 and ex MNHN] (1).
Type locality: Adana, Asia Minor [Turkey].
Etymology: From culex (= mosquito), and phaga (= to eat), referring to its proficiency (“d’excellents destructeurs”) at consuming mosquito larvae. (From The ETYFish project)
