Typus: C.B. Kloss 14798 ([27 October 1924]; holotypus: K [[https://www.gbif.org/occurrence/912584326 K000763331]^(JSTOR), vide Turner et al. 2018]).
- Note: paratypes (Burbidge s.n. [collected at N.W. Lumbedan, Borneo], Haviland 945 [collected in Sarawak near Kuching] and Haviland & Hose 3438) in fact belong to Ixora caudata Bremek.; vide Bremekamp (1937).
Type locality: [Indonesia. Sumatra:] Sipora[Sipura].
