- Typus: U.N. Kanjilal 5758 (in flower, [22] May [1916]; holotypus: DD; isotypus: CAL).
- Type locality: [India.] Assam: District Goalpara, Guma Reserve.
Notes
- This name was reduced to Ixora subsessilis Wall. ex G.Don by Deb & Rout (1992: 41), but is treated as a separate taxon by Karthigeyan & Arisdason (2015: 97).
