Jacob "Jaap" van der Land (1935–2011), Dutch marine biologist and helminthologist. He worked at the Unesco Register of Marine Species, the European Register of Marine Species, and as curator of the World Register of Marine Species (WoRMS). He was head of the department of Invertebrates of the former Rijksmuseum van Natuurlijke Historie (RMNH ), presently known as the Naturalis Biodiversity Centre in Leiden, The Netherlands.
