Name
Mimagoniates sylvicola Menezes & Weitzman, 1990
- Holotype: MZUSP 36612.
- Paratypes: MZUSP 28815-17 (77, 28, 42); USNM 276547 (77), 276557 (42, 2 c&s), 300633 (5), 300634 (1, c&s).
Type locality: Forest stream tributary to Atlantic, near Fazenda Embaçuaba, Município de Prado, Bahia, Brazil, 17°05'S, 39°13'W.
Etymology: silva (= forest), and cola (= to inhabit), referring to forested nature of streams where it occurs. (From The ETYFish project)
