Type locality: Specimen 090, collected on 02 June 2018 in APEI-4 during ROV dive LK-091 (BIOBOX), event ID KM1808-47; latitude 6.98791505, longitude −149.91241, water depth 5000 m.

Etymology: The species-group name refers to the semicircular shape of the upper part of the holotype.
