Name
Oxneria S.Y. Kondr. & Kärnefelt, 2003
Family: Teloschistaceae
Type species: Oxneria alfredii (S.Y. Kondr. & Poelt) S.Y. Kondr. & Kärnefelt, 2003
Note from Lindblom 2006, p. 6
"The molecular evidence cited by Kondratyuk and Kärnefelt (2003) are condradictory. The molecular evidence cited by Kondratyuk and Kärnefelt (2003) to support an isolation position for Oxneria do not show that at all (Søchting et al. 2002). In contrast, the phylogenetic tree of Søchting et al. (2002, p. 234) clearly shows that the genus Xanthomendoza is monophyletic, whereas the genus Oxneria as circumscribed by Kondratyuk and Kärnefelt (2003) is paraphyletic. Therefore, I do not accept the genus Oxneria." - - (Lindblom 2006)
