  • Type locality: Isla Clarión, Islas Revilla Gigedo, Mexico.
  • Holotype: W.R. Taylor # 34-74c; 1934-01-05, on fragments of coralline algae dredged at 56 metres’ depth at sta. 134 off I. Clarion; Hancock Foundation.
