Pimelodus pohli Ribeiro & Lucena, 2006

Type locality: Brazil, Minas Gerais, rio São Francisco drainage, rio Pará, 19º13’28"S, 44º56’07"W .
Etymology: The specific name pohli is given in honor to Mr. Johan B. Emanuel Pohl whom, as participant of the Austrian Mission to Brazil (1817 to 1836) with Johann Natterer, collected in several localities of the rio São Francisco drainage.
