Name

Pseudomussaenda flava Verdc., Kew Bulletin 6(3): 378 (1951 publ. 1952)

  • Typus: A.S. Thomas 725 (29 September 1932; holotypus: EA 000002962; isotypi: K 000414482(JSTOR), KAW 000084, MHU ex ENT).
  • Type locality: Uganda. Western Province, Toro District, Bwamba Co. Kabango, local in forest, 1230 m. alt.

The following three names belong to Pentas lanceolata (Forssk.) Deflers in terms of nomenclature, even though they were given to this species (see Britten 1897: 130, Verdcourt 1951, Verdcourt 1953: 341–342).
