Psychotria grumilia (Kuntze) E.M.A.Petit, Bull. Jard. Bot. État Bruxelles 34: 96 (1964); as Psychotria Grumilea

Typus: G. Mann [1085] (holotypus: K(-K000173915, -K000173916); isotypus: P-MNHN-P-P00551298).
Type locality: Upper Guinea[São Tomé and Príncipe]. Island of St. Thomas[São Tomé], at elevation of 4,000 feet above the sea.

Notes

Petit published with the specific epithet grumilea considering Kuntze's basionym as misspelling of Grumilea, but databases such as WCSP and IPNI accept grumilia. Exell created the name Psychotria hierniana against a blocking name Psychotria macrocarpa Hook.f. (1880), but Kuntze's basionym and its recombination have priority this time (Tropicos).
