Name
Punctelia jujensis Adler, 1989
Diagnosis: Thallus foliaceus adnatus, cinereus, ca 10 cm latus, sine propagulis; lobis subrotundatis 3-7 mm latus. Superficies pseudocyphellis punctiformibus minutis (<0.2 mm latis) sparsis. Facies infera castanea vel nigricans, rhizinis longis, simplicibus, eborineis vel hyalinis, raro concoloribus. Pycnidia inmersa, conidiis filiformibus, 9-15 µm longis. Apothecia ignota. Atranorinum et acidum gyrophoricum continens.
Type: ARGENTINA. Jujuy Province, Yala River (65o25'W, 24o07'S, 1500 m); on roadside Populus sp. cortex, M.T. Adler, II-1986, BAFC 35.388-holotype, ANUC-isotype.
