Type: New Zealand: South Island, Otago, Lee Stream Valley south west of Dunedin, 2 km north of Lee Stream School, ca. 490 m, 23.9.1981, H. Mayrhofer 2199 (GZU-holotype; CHR, OTA-isotypes).
Host-Substratum/Locality: On rocks: New Zealand.
