Senecio tassaensis Montesinos, PhytoKeys 39: 11 (2014).
- Type locality: Peru: Moquegua Region, General Sánchez Cerro Province, Ubinas District, NW of Tassa, terrestrial on clayey rocky soils on the summits of Pirhuani peak, 4657 m. 16° 9' 58" S, 70° 43' 49" W.
- Typus: leg. Montesinos 3103; 2011-04-07; Holotype: HUSA ; Isotypes: MOL , USM .
Note:: accepted by Hassler, considered as synonym of Senecio melanandrus (Wedd.) J.Calvo, A.Granda & V.A.Funk by POWO and Tropicos.
