Type: Mexico, Chihuahua: Barranca del Cobre, 1 km S of Río Urique, mixed pine and oak forest, among mosses over rhyolite 27o22'20"N, 107o30'10"W, 1700 m, 21 July 1994, T.H. Nash III 36776 (ASU).
Substrate and ecology: (Sonoran Desert Region) On bark of Quercus, and over mossy rocks (rhyolite) and in pine-oak forest.
