Tanakaella itonoi Huisman & Gordon-Mills, 1994
- Type locality: Elliston Bay, South Australia.
- Holotype: Shepherd; 21 October 1970; on Kallymenia cribrosa, 7 m deep in bay. AD A37361. Isotypes: distributed in “Marine Algae of southern Australia” No. 397.
- named for Hiroshi Itono (1943–1987), phycologist.
