Waynea giraltiae Van den Boom, 2010

Distribution and ecology: Waynea giraltiae occurs in the south-westernmost part of Europe, in the south-eastern part of Alentejo to the eastern Algarve in Portugal, with a single record from south-western Spain

Etymology: The epithet is chosen in honour of lichenologist, Dr. Mireia Giralt
