Reborrowing from Italian zampogna (“bagpipes”), from Latin symphonia (“music, symphony”), from Ancient Greek συμφωνία (sumphōnía, “music, symphony”), from σύν (sún, “together”) + φωνή (phōnḗ, “sound”).[1]
