Usage notes
- This verb is often incorrectly used as a perfective one as well, likely because the perfective form земе (zeme) is irregular. Hence, one may often hear things like земав две книги од фиоката (zemav dve knigi od fiokata) to mean "I took two books from the drawer" whereas it actually means "I was taking two books from the drawer" - the correct sentence would be зедов две книги од фиоката (zedov dve knigi od fiokata).
