Cognate with Belarusian мыць (mycʹ), Ukrainian мити (myty), Bulgarian мия (mija), Serbo-Croatian мити, Czech mýt, Slovak umyť, Polish myć, Slovene umiti; and with Lithuanian maudyti, Latvian maut.
