Etymology
From Proto-Mongolic *kudaldu-, possibly somehow related through borrowing of inheritance with Proto-Tungusic *xuda-.
Compare Dongxiang ghudandu, Manchu ᡠᡩᠠᠮᠪᡳ (udambi, “to buy”), Nanai хода (“price”).
The element *-ldu-, is the ancestor of the cooperative in -лдах (-ldah).
