Etymology
Martirosyan derives the component *հաւ- (*haw-) from Proto-Indo-European *h₂ep- (“body of water, river”) and identifies the component *առ- (*aṙ-) with the one in գետառ (getaṙ), from *srew- (“to flow, stream”).
Usage notes
Attested only in Baṙgirkʿ hayocʿ.
