  • This term may be used alone (as in English), or in the expression מחלת האיידס (makhalát-ha'éids, the AIDS disease).
  • Feline AIDS is sometimes referred to as איידס של חתולים (éids shél khatulím, AIDS of cats). Simian AIDS may be referred to as איידס של קופים (éids shél kofím, AIDS of monkeys), though this locution is quite rare.
