חידקל \ חִדֶּקֶל • (khidékel) (Biblical Hebrew pausal form חִדָּקֶל)

1. Tigris (river in Southwest Asia)

     ‏וְשֵׁם הַנָּהָר הַשְּׁלִישִׁי חִדֶּקֶל הוּא הַהֹלֵךְ קִדְמַת אַשּׁוּר וְהַנָּהָר הָרְבִיעִי הוּא פְרָת׃‎‎

     v'shém hanahár hash'lishí khidékel hú haholékh kidmát 'ashúr v'hanahár har'vi'í hú f'rát.
     wəšēm hannāhār haššəlīšī ḥiddéqel hū hahōlēḵ qiḏmaṯ ʾaššūr wəhannāhār hārəḇīʿī hū p̄ərāṯ.

     And the name of the third river is Tigris; that is it which goeth toward the east of Asshur. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.

     uv'yóm 'esrím v'arba'á lakhódesh harishón va'aní hayíti 'ál yád hanahár hagadól hú khidákel.
     ūḇəyōm ʿeśrīm wəʾarbāʿā laḥṓḏeš hārīšōn waʾănī hāyī́ṯī ʿal yaḏ hannāhār haggāḏōl hū ḥiddā́qel.

     And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Tigris,
