تالار
Persian
Etymology
Possibly ultimately from Proto-Indo-European *trab-, *treb- (“dwelling, room”). Cognate with Manichaean Middle Persian tlwʾr (talawār, “hall, tabernacle”). Related to Persian طربال (tarbâl, “monastery”), Persian تلیبار (talibâr, “a hut used for breeding silkworms”) and perhaps (dialectal) Persian طنبی (tanabi, “hall”).
