Etymology

From Arabic رِزْق (rizq), from Middle Persian 𐭫𐭥𐭰𐭩𐭪 (rōzīg, sustenance, daily bread), from which ܪܘܙܝܩܐ (rōzīqā) also derives. Compare Persian روزی (rōzī).
