Etymology
An Iranian borrowing; compare Manichaean Middle Persian 𐫀𐫉𐫗 (ʾzn /āzn/). But according to Ačaṙyan borrowed from Old Armenian ազն (azn). In any case, the Armenian is from the same Iranian source.
