Hīrō meibo…… ore wa esu-kyū rankingu de sensei wa shī-kyū rankingu de sorezore saikai ni natte masu Ima wa Jenosu Saitama to namae ga sono mama kisaisarete imasu ga shibaraku katsudōsuru to "hīrō nēmu" to yara ga tsukuyō desu
Here on the hero register…… I’m ranked bottom in S-class, and you’re bottom in C-class, sensei. Our names are still listed as Genos and Saitama, but we’ll probably acquire our "hero names" as we become more active.
      Hīrō nēmu? Nani sore
      Hero names? What are those?
Osoraku wa koko no hīrō no tokuchō o toraeta nikkunēmu no yō na no deshō Ore dattara ‘Kinpatsu Saibōgu’ toka
It’s likely that they’re individual nicknames that capture the heroes’ distinctiveness. For example, my name would be something like ‘Blond Cyborg’.
Oi sono nazukekata da to ore wa ‘Hage Manto’ toka ni
Wait, by that naming standard, mine would be ‘Caped Baldie’

[Page 3: Pens and Names]”, in BAKUMAN。 [BAKUMAN.], volume 1 (fiction), Tokyo: Shueisha, →ISBN, page 104:

So this is a name, huh? I’ve seen one on some application page for a manga award

Manga no shitagaki mitai na mon Mazu kore o kaite henshūsha ni misete ōkē ga detara hajimete genkō ni dekiru ōkē ga deru made wa nando demo kakinaoshi Motto mo nēmu de misete ii no wa mangaka toshite no sainō o mitomerareta yatsu na
It’s basically a rough sketch for manga. First you make one and show it to the editor, and only if it’s OKed can you go ahead with the draft. You may have to do it over a couple of times ‘til it gets OKed. Though good mangaka can just pass with the name alone.
