First attested in the Yongbi eocheonga (龍飛御天歌 / 용비어천가), 1447, as Middle Korean 븟다 (Yale: pusta).
Also attested in the Yongbi eocheonga (龍飛御天歌 / 용비어천가), 1447, as Middle Korean 브ᇫ다 (Yale: puzta).
When combined with a consonant, it was written as 븟다 (Yale: pusta) and when combined with a vowel, it was written as 브ᇫ다 (Yale: puzta).
