Suffix

-dir

  1. Suffix appended to verbs to derive a transitive verb, often with a causative meaning. Applies only to verb stems containing 'i', 'ə' and 'e'[1]
    ‎gəzmək (“to walk”) + ‎-dir → ‎gəzdirmək (“to take out for a walk”)
    ‎bilmək (“to know”) + ‎-dir → ‎bildirmək (“to inform”)
