Etymology
From Arabic رَبِيع (rabīʿ, “spring”). A near homophone is Arabic رَابِعَة (rābiʿa), the feminine of رَابِع (rābiʿ, “fourth”), from أَرْبَعَة (ʾarbaʿa, “four”). Hence Rabia can also mean "the fourth female".
