Proto-Brythonic
Etymology
From the oblique stem *rīg- of Proto-Celtic *rīxs. The inherited nominative singular form would presumably have given *rix, and the plural form *riɣ. Evidently the former was analogically replaced.
Pronunciation
- IPA(key): /ˈr͈iːɣ/
